Quantity Surveyor - Civil Engineering

Following the successful award of several new contracts in a short space of time, an internationally recognised engineering organisation seeks to employ a Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Bristol.

This permanent role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a close-knit office, where you will get the chance to be involved in a wide variety of civil engineering projects in the rail, nuclear, highways, and water industries.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide a full range of Quantity Surveying duties from project inception through to completion.
2. Prepare cost plans, estimates, Bills of Quantities, and tender documents.
3. Deliver construction phase services including change management, contractor payment applications, forecasts, and final accounts.
4. Prepare commercial reports for client use.
5. Work collaboratively with other disciplines to provide an integrated approach to client delivery.
6. Develop client relationships and provide an outstanding level of service delivery on a project basis, in conjunction with senior management.

Job Requirements:

1. Experience in Quantity Surveying, particularly within civil engineering projects.
2. Proficiency in NEC contracts is essential.
3. Ability to prepare detailed cost plans, estimates, and Bills of Quantities.
4. Experience in handling contractor payment applications and final accounts.
5. Strong commercial acumen and report writing skills.
6. Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
7. Degree qualified in a relevant discipline.
8. Able to mentor and develop junior staff members.
