ROLE OVERVIEW

An exciting role awaits for a skilled Bioprocess Technician to join a leading biotechnology company based in the Slough area. As the Bioprocess Technician, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining lab-scale bioreactors for mammalian cell culture, ensuring optimal conditions for cell growth and productivity.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Bioprocess Technician will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

  1. Collaborate closely with the upstream R&D team to plan and execute complex lab-scale fed-batch and perfusion bioreactor process development and optimisation.
  2. Engage in routine mammalian cell culture workflows, including media preparation, revival, and subculture as required for experiments.
  3. Monitor bioprocess parameters and ensure optimal conditions for cell growth and productivity.
  4. Generate experimental results, review scientific documentation, and support lab procedures and safety assessments.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Bioprocess Technician we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

  1. Relevant degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Bioprocess, Biochemistry, or Chemical Engineering.
  2. Proven industry experience in mammalian cell culture and upstream process development.
  3. A working knowledge and practical experience with CHO cell culture, bioreactor operation, and media preparation.
