About Cognita
Cognita is a global leader in independent education. Founded in 2004, we are a growing community of 100+ schools in 16 countries - in Europe, North America, Latin America, Asia and the Middle East - serving more than 85,000 students. Each of our schools are proudly unique; however, our collective purpose is to create an environment where everyone can, 'Thrive in a rapidly evolving world'.
About the role
Sitting within the EU HR team, supporting the European Region and working across schools and head office areas (SSC, SCP, and Group). Your key responsibilities include supporting the Senior Talent Manager in delivering a consistent and effective recruitment process, and analysing vacancy and hiring data to enhance time to hire and cost to hire across the Cognita European Region.
Building strong relationships within the Education, SSC, SCP, and Group Teams is crucial. The role involves managing the full recruitment cycle for entry to mid-level positions, taking role briefings from Hiring Managers, and using various techniques to attract exceptional talent. Engaging passive candidates through targeted searches and supporting schools in organising recruitment events are also important aspects of the role.
Additionally, the role involves promoting the Employer Brand, creating and managing recruitment reports and candidate packs, identifying competitive companies to target, and supporting the Senior Talent Manager in researching and sourcing candidates. As an external-facing representative of Cognita, the role ensures a positive experience for all candidates and external partners.
This is a 10 month Fixed Term Contract starting June to cover a period of Maternity Leave. This role is mainly remote; however, some travel to Head Office (London) is required.
Who we are looking for:
We're looking for someone with excellent written and verbal communication skills who can deliver with impact. High attention to detail and the ability to quickly identify priorities are essential. The ideal candidate will possess excellent listening and questioning skills, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel). They should be capable of manipulating data for recruitment reporting and have excellent numeracy skills. The ability to effectively manage a high-volume workload and work well under pressure to meet deadlines and targets is required.
Additionally, a commercial and business-focused mindset is desirable. Candidates should have Maths and English Grade C or above (or equivalent). A growing understanding of employment law and an interest in becoming CIPD qualified is desirable.
Experience in recruitment, preferably in a fast-paced environment, is essential. Previous experience with ATS and candidate data, as well as managing and building candidate talent pools and pipelines, is required. Experience working within the Education Sector is also desirable.
