Job Description

The Regional Client General Manager is passionate about client happiness, crafting critical initiatives and retention of the account. This role is to identify innovative solutions, have a strong understanding of the external market, and possess an in-depth knowledge of the travel industry.

What You'll Do:

  • Possess an in-depth understanding of key business drivers, organizational culture, and the competitive position of clients.
  • Get under the skin of the clients to understand their individual needs and motivations to develop truly customer-focused solutions.
  • Provide mentorship to customers in the assessment of goals and strategies to optimize performance across their program.
  • Identify innovative solutions to enhance efficiency & improve traveler/caller experience during service fulfillment.
  • Establish partnerships with key business constituents (Global Business Consulting, Client Services, Service Delivery, Implementations, M&E and GCG Directors) to build a web of influence at key levels.
  • Drive strategic account plans, identify groundbreaking business opportunities that improve and optimize customer experience, craft customer value, exceed customer expectations, strengthen client relationships, drive savings, grow retention, and optimize performance through process and data analysis.
  • Lead the improvement of the American Express Global Business Travel value proposition through consultation, technology road mapping, and optimizing online servicing solutions. Lead business planning, quarterly and annual reviews, regional pricing strategies, and ongoing P&L management for the account.
  • Research the marketplace and competitor products and services to highlight the value that distinguishes Amex GBT products, leveraging MI, benchmarking, and technology as critical value drivers.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven success in multinational account/client management, sales, consulting, or procurement experience.
  • Experience in selling products, services, and solutions, growing client revenue and profitability.
  • Proven record in implementing and developing strategies, building action plans, and setting goals.
  • Innovative problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills, along with prioritization and planning skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills, including the ability to handle objections and achieve mutually beneficial solutions.
  • Ability to proactively build and maintain a comprehensive network, both internally and externally, to effectively navigate through client organizations.
  • A sophisticated range of communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn, understand, and articulate key product and value proposition knowledge in various contexts, identifying relevant insights and integrating them into the value proposition.
  • Strong financial acumen to leverage the key drivers of profitability.
  • Strong business acumen to communicate the Amex/Business Travel value proposition.
