Job Description

Job Title: Functional Assessor (Registered Nurse)

Location: Glasgow

Job Type: Hybrid Permanent/ Mon-Fri, 9-5 hours

The anticipated start date for this position is: May 2025

Job Overview

We're looking for registered adult or mental health nurses who enjoy making a difference in people's lives every day.

If you are looking for a break from shift work or are seeking a new exciting career opportunity to develop and enhance your nursing skills while helping people, apply and become a Functional Assessor.

You will carry out assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their daily life and produce factual reports to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine their eligibility for benefits.

What we look for:
  1. An NMC-registered adult or mental health nurse with at least 1 year's broad post-registration experience in the UK
  2. A proactive and keen learner with excellent oral and written communication skills
  3. Someone comfortable using computer software to type and produce detailed reports
  4. An expert clinician comfortable working with a diverse range of conditions, including complex cases and mental health conditions
