Job Description
Join our long-standing team

We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse on a 1-year fixed-term contract to join our long-standing team here at GP Vets. You will be required to cover 2 branches in Basingstoke and Tadley.

This role can lead to a permanent position.

Our caseload mainly consists of small animals; however, you can see some exotics if this is an interest of yours. We want to ensure you feel supported, and we can offer you the encouragement, challenge, and support to achieve your personal and professional aspirations.

Flexible rota patterns to suit you

Work/life balance is a priority of ours; therefore, flexible working is absolutely considered. For example, we could look to accommodate reduced working days and flexible hours to suit you. Any other preference such as consulting only, particular days off, mornings, or evenings - just ask - we can discuss the options.

Typically, the full-time position is 40 hours with a Saturday morning rota and no out-of-hours work. We would also welcome part-time applicants.

Our established practice

We are ISFM accredited and are a Silver-rated Cat Friendly small animal practice. We are based in a great location with excellent links to the M3/M4 (45 minutes' drive to Heathrow and only 1 hour to the South coast). Basingstoke is also only a 40-minute train ride to London. In North Hampshire, you'll find historic treasures reflecting the local literary and military heritage, as well as lively towns, great local food, and family attractions. You are also close to the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in North Hampshire, with its varied wildlife and stunning views.

P.S. We have plenty of space if you would like to bring your dog to work with you.

Our equipment

We have separate cat and dog kennels, 2 consult rooms, and an ops theatre, and we are well equipped with Digital X-Ray, Idexx ProCyteOne, Catalyst, a brand new Ultrasound machine, and dental radiography.

Don't take our word for it hear from our team:

"The overall atmosphere, team, and clients are all so welcoming and joyful to be around." - RVN

"I enjoy coming to work every day to see the clients, patients, and team. Our practice has a lovely 'community feel' to it and the team works hard to support our customer base and their veterinary needs. The days are varied, busy, and provide an opportunity for me to learn more about animals." - Client Care

If you wish to speak with someone from the practice, do let us know as we can facilitate this.
