Job Description

Great opportunity to join a reputable historic car manufacturer which is introducing completely new EV models on the market and has presence in Brussels where they engage in important Automotive topics with various governmental bodies and industry associations.


You will have involvement in critical Automotive topics such as Emissions and EV batteries.

In this role you will interact with senior members internally in both Brussels and Global Headquarters. You will join an organization where employees have long average tenure and where you can experience a stable and supportive environment.


Your activities will include:

  • Support the organization by monitoring key legislative initiatives on tailpipe emissions and batteries in European markets.
  • Contribute to understanding of opportunities to sustain Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) powered cars in Europe beyond 2035, including exploring carbon-neutral fuels.
  • Collaborate closely with HQ to ensure continued in-service compliance with relevant regulations and requirements.
  • Assist HQ in tracking policy and regulatory developments at the EU, UK, and Swiss levels.
  • Monitor key policy issues that could impact business in Europe.
  • Conduct policy research (with external consultancy if needed) and prepare high-quality internal reports and presentations.
  • Propose positions and lobbying strategies for upcoming legislation and regulations.
  • Active lobbying activities with certain associations and consortiums.
  • Attend relevant meetings (EU trade associations, JAMA, etc.) and identify important conferences or consortiums.
  • Serve as primary contact for EU/UK authorities and external stakeholders (OEMs, NGOs, etc.), in coordination with Global HQ and EU HQ relevant departments.


Your profile:

  • Fluent command of English.
  • Strong understanding of the EU and its institutions.
  • Engineering / similar degree OR understanding of Automotive technical topics and ability to translate findings to the R&D department.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, proactive mindset, and ability to plan and manage tasks independently.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset focused on innovative solutions to regulatory challenges.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, including the ability to establish and maintain relationships with government authorities, industry associations, and other key stakeholders through formal and informal networking.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, capable of effectively conveying complex technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to collaborate in a cross-functional and international environment, fostering teamwork and cooperation.
