Greenacre are pleased to be supporting a social housing organisation based in Cambridgeshire with their recruitment of a repairs contract manager.
Our client's main focus is to provide great value, low cost homes for the people of Greater Cambridge and delivering the best possible customer service. They are also fully focused on delivering new build homes and continually investing in customers current properties.
What will you do in the role?
- Ensuring sustained performance across all repairs, maintenance and investment functions.
- Promote a customer and performance focused culture.
- Accountable for the setting and delivery of budgets relevant to repairs, maintenance and investment works, including the delivery of any agreed cost savings.
- Ensuring all of the society's assets and resources are used efficiently and effectively.
- Focusing on value for money in key relationships with the Society's contractors and suppliers.
- Encouraging and promoting cross functional working between all teams across the Society.
- Responsible for all property and customer health and safety.
- Focus on investment programmes leading investment programmes, including major component renewals and other maintenance schemes.
- Contract management leading on the contract management responsibilities for all repairs, maintenance and investment works.
- Customer services ensuring all repairs, maintenance and investment services are delivered in line with the agreed customer service standards.
Experience And Skills Required
- Property degree, or training/experience to this qualification or equivalent property qualification (ie RICS/ CIOB).
- Technical knowledge and understanding of property surveying and building construction.
- Experience and knowledge of contract management and construction.
- Health and Safety Awareness and knowledge of property-related legislation.
- Practical knowledge and understanding of setting up technical specifications for tendering contracts.
- Supervision of contractors on building works.
- Procurement and contract management.
- Has excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
- Has excellent written, numerical and verbal skills, ability to think strategically and solve complex problems.
