Job overviewWe welcome applications from those who currently hold a UK NMC registration. If you currently hold an overseas nursing qualification and require sponsorship we are not currently direct hiring Internationally Qualified Nurses.
We are looking for a personable individual who has excellent interpersonal skills, and who is able to deliver holistic nursing care across the different clinics. You must be able to work collaboratively to facilitate effective and efficient care delivery in the MDT environment.
Working variable days, Monday to Friday between 8 - 6pm. Other shift patterns can be discussed.
Main duties of the jobYou will need excellent communication and time management skills, and be a highly motivated individual, who possesses the relevant knowledge and skills required to deliver evidence-based high-quality care to our patients.
- To deliver safe, competent, and compassionate care to all patients attending clinic, and also extending this compassionate care to family and carers.
- To work effectively unsupervised, and be a collaborative team player.
- To deputise in the absence of senior staff to ensure continuity of care for patients attending the Outpatient Department.
- To run and support a variety of medical, surgical, and nurse-led clinics.
- To assess patients holistically, and refer or delegate appropriately to multi-disciplinary teams, as required.
- Assist the Nurse Manager and team in meeting divisional goals and specialty targets.
- Be forward thinking, well organised with a positive attitude towards flexibility and change.
- Plan and deliver care and investigations to patients using existing or acquired skills such OPD specific Ophthalmology skills, Fibro scanning, urinalysis & wound care dressings.
- Practice supervisor and assessor, or equivalent
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Ophthalmology experience
- Dermatology experience
