About this role

You are one of the key drivers within the organization to ensure environmental, health, and safety requirements and considerations are embedded in our processes in the Netherlands. Your direct report will be the Services Team Lead and you will have a dotted line to the HSE Specialist in the Netherlands, assisting in maintaining HSSE compliance. In this role, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:

These are some of the key ingredients to the role:

• Identify and lead implementation to ensure compliance with local Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental legislation requirements.
• Maintain the regulatory framework and stay updated on new and changed regulations to ensure compliance.
• Ensure implementation of local HSSE Policy aligned with Corporate HSSE Policy, Standards, and Programs.
• Facilitate the completion of national RI&E.
• Conduct HSSE audits of our facilities and ensure that control measures are put in place to eliminate or mitigate identified risks.
• Ensure the effectiveness of identified control measures through a monitoring and measurement program.
• Set objectives and targets for HSSE performance improvement.
• Manage HSSE-related training programs nationally, including a training needs analysis, content development/translations, calendar management, and participation tracking.
• Ensure HSSE incidents are reported and investigated, providing guidance and support to ensure Corrective and Preventive Measures are identified and allocated to stakeholders.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of HSSE incidents to relevant authorities.
• Analyze and evaluate leading and lagging indicators and HSSE performance periodically.
• Take actions for HSSE continuous improvements and ensure annual HSSE KPIs are met.
• Drive behavior-based safety within the operations to create and establish the desired safety culture.
• Embed HSSE processes to develop a high level of safety maturity.

What will you bring to the table?

• Certification in Occupational Health and Safety or Environmental Management.
• Fluency in English to communicate effectively across teams.
• Basic knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 Standards (not essential but beneficial).
• Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Skills in designing and initiating processes to improve safety standards.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities with a proactive mindset.
• Collaborative approach, capable of influencing across a matrix organization.
• Passion for embedding a safety-first culture in dynamic environments.
• Familiarity with digital tools such as Salesforce and Tableau (advantageous).
• Academic degree in a relevant field to support knowledge of health and safety.
