We provide a wide ranging multi-disciplinary building design consultancy, consisting of Architecture, Sustainability, Building Surveying, Project Management, Civil & Structural, Transport Planning, Bridges, Highways & Drainage Engineering, Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, CDM, Property Advisory & Estate Management. Our focus is to provide services to both the Private and Public sector clients throughout the North of England.
Location: Cumbria - Kendal or Cockermouth, with hybrid working
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
We are looking for our next Associate Civil Engineer to join us at Align Property Services to lead a dedicated team of engineers to deliver a diverse range of projects based in Cumbria.
You will join our team working to deliver on Schools and Corporate Maintenance programmes across the local authorities in Cumbria, ensuring the buildings where our children are educated and where local people work are safe, modern, and efficient. You will have the opportunity to support Cumbrian capital works programmes, developing and modernising communities across the county.
As an Associate Civil Engineer:
- Hold a degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent.
- Demonstrate strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Have experience in preparing detailed designs and specifications using Civils 3D, AutoCAD, Micro-Drainage/Flow etc.
- Be competent in the conceptual and detailed design of infrastructure projects, including earthworks, roads and drainage.
- Have a working knowledge of latest UK standards, adoptable standards and building regulations.
- Be IT literate with excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office products for report writing/presentations/administration of tasks.
- Hold a Professional Accreditation at IEng / CEng level.
- Full UK driving license.
