Nursery: Bright Horizons New Church Road Day Nursery and Preschool
Salary - £28,392 - £33,800 per annum (dependant on qualification/s and experience)
Location - Hove
Fixed term contract until March 2026

We're looking for a Room Leader to join our Bright Horizons New Church Road situated on New Church Road, with good bus links, with buses stopping just a 2 min walk from the nursery, and local to two train stations, Hove and Portslade.
This nursery offers 2 good size gardens available to the children, 1 for the 0-2 years and 1 for the 2-5 years, where the children can explore, practice their gardening skills, planting vegetables, herbs, and spices. The nursery currently has 3 age group rooms: 0-2 years, 2-3 years, and 3-5 years, all rooms are spacious and bright. All staff are supported and trained to work within our Bright Beginnings Curriculum, where we are able to support children effectively in all areas of development including Cooking and Gardening.
The children also get to experience Yoga activities throughout their sessions.

The Role
As a Room Leader, you will lead, mentor, support, and inspire a team to deliver exceptional care and education, to help all children within the room to develop and meet their individual milestones. You will promote and ensure child welfare, health and safety, and safeguarding, and maintain strong partnerships with colleagues, parents, and other professionals to meet each child's needs.
What we're looking for
- Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
- Previous experience working within an Early Years setting - ideally as a Room Leader, Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator or similar
- Passion for creating fun and inclusive learning environments
- Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
- Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with both colleagues and parents/carers
- Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
