Description
Oxford Economics, a leading global economic research and consultancy firm, is looking to hire a qualified Sales Development Representative to be part of a new function within Business Development. This position will be responsible for finding and screening potential customers who could benefit from our solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating meetings with both new logos as well as new teams from the existing book of business.
As the first line of communication with prospects, the ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the sales process and excel at researching leads, starting new relationships, navigating existing relationships and setting up sales. You should be a quick learner who has strong communication skills and is able to distill and translate complex solutions in a compelling way. This position is an integral part of Oxford's growth plans for the region and is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing company at the forefront of the industry. You should have a minimum of 1 -2-years' experience in an SDR role.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake thorough market analysis to identify key companies in the territory and key individuals within companies.
- Maintain a knowledge of global economic and business trends to facilitate conversations with prospects.
- Develop a strong knowledge of the solution portfolio and its value for each sector.
- Utilise the full tech stack to generate new sales opportunities including cold calling, email, LinkedIn and other outbound activities.
- Create and manage multi-touch point campaigns to generate inbound leads.
- Fully qualify prospects, and suggest appropriate solutions.
- Build long-term, trusting relationships with prospects to qualify leads as sales opportunities.
- Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) customers and sales executives.
- Log all interactions and activities with prospects.
- Represent the company's solutions using comprehensive knowledge as well as consumer research to explain how our solutions meet customer needs and the value they provide.
- Generate leads and build relationships through cold outbound initiatives and nurturing warm prospects.
- Manage and maintain a pipeline of prospects and engage sales executives in next steps.
- Identify best practices for refining the company's lead-generation playbook.
- Report on opportunities, challenges, product development requests and product feedback.
- Report to sales manager with weekly, monthly, and quarterly results.
- Analyse and prepare reports on available datapoints.
- Identify and share intelligence on industry trends.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- A proven, demonstrable customer success track record.
- 1-2 years in a lead generation role.
- Must be highly organized and able to manage multiple projects at once.
- Candidate must have strong presentation and writing skills.
- Must have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of Salesforce.
- Must be a self-starter, with the drive to set and reach ambitious goals.
- Must be a team player.
- Fluent English.
- Confident on the phone.
