Our Commercial Litigation team sits within our larger Complex Litigation function and is a highly skilled and supportive team that specializes in intermediate and multi-track commercial claims across a broad spectrum of policyholders.
Due to the expansion of this Commercial Litigation offering, we have a new opportunity for someone to join us as a Senior Associate. You'll be responsible for running an autonomous caseload, as well as the technical supervision of several fee earners, working closely with other Senior and Principal Associates to ensure our customers receive the highest standard of services, whilst ensuring the efficient management of caseloads.
Key responsibilities will include:

- Accurately assessing the prospects of success of each claim and ensuring that the claim is handled throughout, in accordance with the requirements of our client's legal expenses insurance policy, and in a cost-effective manner.
- Working closely with Principal Associates to deliver on SLA's, KPI's, financial and performance targets, to drive efficiency, performance, billing, and throughput within the team.
- Driving a culture of effective and efficient case handling, whilst maintaining a focus on a good customer outcome for each individual client.
As a team, we are passionate and enthusiastic about what we do. There is a genuine commitment to giving our people early responsibility and you'll regularly run cases from inception to Trial, arbitration, mediation, or other ADR.
This is a great opportunity for someone with significant experience in commercial litigation (multi-track essential) and extensive knowledge and expertise in all aspects of court litigation from inception to trial, in addition to resolving cases by mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution.

- Ability to work under pressure and deliver high-quality performance against deadlines, KPI's, targets, and SLA's.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, and able to communicate confidently in a clear, practical, and informative way.
- Proactive approach to managing your own caseload to a very high standard.
- Clear and demonstrable understanding of the SRA Code of Conduct.
- An ability to prioritize and work under pressure managing numerous commitments simultaneously.
- Demonstrable ability to make sound commercial decisions whilst delivering excellent client care.
- Good understanding of the applicable protocols on pre-action conduct across your technical area.
