Joining Sainsbury's Buying Teams as a Senior Buyer in our In Store Bakery presents an exciting opportunity to be part of a dedicated group committed to making good food joyful, accessible, and affordable for all. In this role, you will drive the buying and selling strategy, contributing to market share growth and cash profit while ensuring high quality and customer satisfaction in our In Store Bakery products. With a focus on collaboration, continuous learning, and a customer-centric approach, you will have the chance to shape the product range, influence stakeholders, and make impactful decisions that enhance the overall customer experience.


What you'll do:

In your role as a Senior Buyer for Sainsbury's In Store Bakery, you will drive the buying and selling strategy to ensure high-quality bakery products that meet customer satisfaction while contributing to market share growth and cash profit. You will lead the optimisation of the In-Store Bakery category strategy, collaborating cross-functionally to review product ranges, identify improvement opportunities, and develop new offerings as well as cost-saving initiatives. By leveraging your commercial acumen, analytical skills, and effective communication, you will make key decisions, influence stakeholders, and utilise data-driven insights to shape a leading product range. Managing supplier relationships, guiding projects to successful outcomes, and line managing a Buyer to meet team objectives will be integral to your responsibilities, contributing to the team's overall success and enhancing the customer experience.


Who you are:

As a Senior Buyer for Sainsbury's In Store Bakery, you are a seasoned professional with a proven track record in food buying and line management experience, possessing strong commercial acumen and strategic vision to drive sustainable market share growth and cash profit. Your ability to analyse data, identify improvement opportunities, and develop customer-focused plans aligned with company strategy sets you apart, as does your proficiency in managing supplier relationships and leading successful projects. With excellent communication skills, adaptability, and resilience, you navigate complexities with ease, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment while effectively managing and guiding team members to achieve shared objectives.
