EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

In this role, you will be providing technical solutions and undertaking feasibility evaluation/assessment for projects and creating designs & specifications for AMP8 and beyond for Water Treatment facilities for Severn Trent Water. As the schemes progress, you will be creating and evaluating designs & specifications for tender through in-house design and through utilization of consultant design teams.

You will come up with innovative design solutions to support the delivery of our projects & you will need to think about the wider context of our changing environment, climate change pledge, and carbon commitments.

Teamwork is key across Capital Design and Delivery, so we would want you to demonstrate leadership and assist with defining team goals and actively drive problem solving/information processing and support the team in translating this information concisely.

It is critical for us that you are a confident communicator and have good leadership and stakeholder management skills, as you will need to liaise with the stakeholders, build relationships, and influence at mid and senior leadership levels.

To do this role, you will have experience of designing UK water infrastructure works and a robust understanding of CDM regulations in the design process.

You will deliver projects to programme, within budget, to the correct quality standards. Be part of developing the future design team!

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE ROLE

You will come equipped with your design experience and you will prepare conceptual designs to create innovative and efficient solutions. You will also need to engage with appropriate stakeholders in order to understand the root cause of the business problem, so it is very important for us you are confident to liaise with the stakeholders and build relationships and influence at mid and senior leadership levels.

You will have a degree in civil engineering and show your professional commitment as a member of the Institution of Civil Engineers or actively working towards incorporated or chartered status, a journey which we are keen to support you on.

You will have excellent internal and external stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships with a diverse range of people. You will be a forward-thinking innovator, capable of anticipating challenges and responding to change in a rapidly evolving environment.

Of course, it's important that we attract the right skill sets and those with the right experience, but we value character, positivity, and a caring attitude in equal weight.

We want people who show up and get involved. Those who are ready to be part of something bigger and who want to make a difference because they care. Is that you?
