Senior Civil Pipeline Engineer

Contract: 6-12 months

Our client has a requirement for a Senior Civil Pipeline Engineer, who will be required to work on a contract basis in Peterborough/Hybrid.

Role Purpose:

To lead and manage the design and delivery of pipeline engineering projects within critical UK infrastructure sectors, including Water, Aviation, Defence, Energy, and Cities & Development.

Job Role Responsibilities:

• Manage a team to undertake technical design work, ensuring compliance with relevant design standards and codes.
• Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and bid proposals.
• Effectively manage time and budgets to meet key project milestones and deadlines.
• Collaborate with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
• Maintain high quality assurance standards in all design outputs.

Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:

• Chartered Civil Engineer with a minimum of 2 years' post-chartership experience.
• Strong background in pipeline design delivery, including multi-disciplinary coordination.
• Expertise in hydraulics, pipe restraint, jointing, pipeline materials, bedding, and UTX.
• Proficiency in digital analysis tools such as HADES, InfoWorks, and EPANET.
• Understanding of market rates and experience-based charge structures.
• Ability to obtain security vetting.
