Hours: 15 hours a week (one day to be Wednesday)

BACKGROUND

The Helen Bamber Foundation, founded in 2005 by the pioneering human rights advocate Helen Bamber, was created to reflect the evolving global patterns of violence and persecution. Today it is a specialist clinical and human rights charity that works with people seeking asylum and refugees who are survivors of trafficking, torture and other forms of extreme human cruelty.

We are looking for a Senior Clinical Psychologist to manage and support our work with young, unaccompanied asylum seekers aged between 16 and 25 within the Young Roots psychology service.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Senior Clinical Psychologist, you will:

  1. Manage the clinical services of the Young Roots Partnership.
  2. Deliver highly specialised psychological assessments for both medico-legal and clinical purposes.
  3. Provide appropriate evidence-based therapies.
  4. Deliver clinical supervision to qualified clinicians, assistants, and trainee clinical psychologists.
  5. Contribute to policy, research, and fundraising efforts.
  6. Provide consultancy and training.

We are looking for someone who is committed to working therapeutically with young people who have experienced human rights abuses and present with trauma spectrum disorders, depression, and anxiety. Proven experience in working therapeutically with this client group is essential.
