Senior Commercial Manager - Defence Contracts (Maritime & Land)

Are you an experienced Senior Commercial Manager with expertise in maritime and land defence contracts? We are recruiting for a leading organisation delivering advanced solutions to the defence sector. This role will focus on managing complex contracts, including bidding, pre-signature negotiations, and post-contract delivery.

The Role:

As a Senior Commercial Manager, you will take ownership of high-value maritime and land defence contracts, ensuring commercial success, risk mitigation, and compliance. You will work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and government stakeholders to manage contracts from bid to execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead commercial activities across maritime and land defence contracts.
Oversee the bidding process, ensuring competitive and compliant proposals.
Negotiate, draft, and manage contracts with key clients, suppliers, and government bodies.
Ensure compliance with MOD, regulatory, and security frameworks.
Identify and mitigate contractual risks.
Provide strategic commercial guidance to internal teams and senior stakeholders.
Collaborate with procurement, finance, and legal teams to support business objectives.

About You:

Proven experience in a senior commercial/contracts management role.
Strong knowledge of defence contracts, particularly within maritime and land sectors.
Experience managing bids, negotiations, and contract execution.
Excellent negotiation, risk management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to operate in a high-security, regulated environment.
Eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC level).
