What will you do?
Manage a mixed-use commercial property portfolio of 600+ council-owned properties, including retail, industrial, offices, land, and community spaces.
Lead on rent reviews, lease renewals, assignments, subletting, alterations, and deeds of variation.
Negotiate and manage high-profile and politically sensitive property transactions.
Ensure compliance with RICS standards, property legislation, and council governance procedures.
Proactively engage with tenants, resolving issues and ensuring income maximisation.
Identify and implement income-enhancing opportunities within the portfolio.
Work closely with the Legal Services team on all property-related matters.
Support the development of asset management strategies and corporate property planning.
Provide expert property advice to the council, elected members, and stakeholders.
Lead on managing and advising community and voluntary sector (CVS) occupiers.

What do you need?
To be successful in your application, you must demonstrate ALL the following:
MRICS or FRICS qualification - Essential.
Proven experience in managing a commercial property portfolio (within the public sector for minimum 3 years').
Strong negotiation and decision-making skills in lease advisory, rent reviews, and stakeholder engagement.
Knowledge of property legislation, asset management best practices, and RICS compliance.
Ability to work independently, prioritise workload, and manage complex transactions.
Experience dealing with politically sensitive property matters.
