Senior Compliance Buiness Partner

InterQuest are seeking a Senior Compliance Business Partner to join the team of a specialist lender. This is a new role, focused on Savings and/or Lending, where you will be responsible for providing expert compliance advice to business units, helping them manage regulatory and conduct risks, particularly in the context of regulatory change and business innovation. You'll report to the Head of Compliance Advice and will play an important role in coaching and developing Compliance Leads within the team.

Responsibilities:

1. Assess and advise on regulatory conduct matters, utilizing industry knowledge to propose practical solutions
2. Provide accurate and timely technical advice on conduct regulation, ensuring compliance with UK regulatory standards
3. Guide business stakeholders and project teams on conduct regulation, risk management, and company compliance policies
4. Represent the Compliance function in key business or regulatory projects, offering expert guidance and advice
5. Present complex regulatory matters to senior leaders and support the Head of Compliance Advice with key communications

Skills & Experience:

1. Proven experience in a 2nd line compliance or conduct risk role, ideally within the retail banking sector
2. Expertise in interpreting emerging conduct regulatory requirements and providing advice on them
3. Strong understanding of the UK financial services sector, including knowledge of the FCA's regulatory agenda, particularly Consumer Duty
4. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to explain complex regulatory matters in a clear and accessible way
5. Proven organizational and problem-solving abilities, with experience in managing multiple priorities
6. Ability to work autonomously, manage complex issues, and document solutions thoroughly
7. Experience in line management, coaching, and people development
