Senior Consultant power market mechanism solutions

As part of a team of high-level consultants, you will leverage your analytical and power market skills to participate in Artelys power market activities, including:

1. Energy market studies and consulting activities: support our clients in developing energy market auctions, analyzing energy market outcomes, and investigating market designs.

2. Commercial development: take an active role in the acquisition of new clients: identify prospects, meet them, take an active role in commercial proposals and tender responses, and contribute to the definition of our commercial goals and the development of our offer in Europe and Worldwide.

3. Energy market and algorithms design: support our clients in the design of Energy Markets, from prospective studies and high-level design to detailed design of energy market clearing engines.

4. Development of Energy Market software solution: contribute to the implementation of our Energy Market algorithms either as a Project Manager, Technical Lead, or Senior Consultant: market clearing engines, stochastic optimizers, simulation and backtesting software, etc.

You hold a degree from an engineering school, a master, or a Ph.D., with a specialization in applied mathematics, power systems, or energy economics. You have at least 5 years of professional experience in the energy sector; you are the ideal candidate if:

1. You have a good knowledge of the European energy market and its regulations, and a good understanding of nodal electricity markets.

2. You have consulting experience in direct relation with the client.

3. You have experience in commercial activities and business development.

4. You have an interest in mathematical and quantitative approaches and are comfortable with fundamental mathematical techniques.

5. You have experience in delivering software solutions and a capacity to reconcile the client's business vision, the developer's technical vision, and the company's economic vision.

6. You are rigorous, have a strong team spirit, and are focused on the customer's needs.

7. You have good writing skills, are fluent in both spoken and written French, and a minimum level of C1 in English is expected.

Working conditions:

1. Permanent contract, managerial status with a 4-month probationary period.

2. Up to 2 days of remote work per week possible.

3. Flexible working hours.

4. Offices located in the city center of each city where we are located.

Recruitment process:

1. Step 1: An initial technical interview via video conference with two recruiters (45 minutes x 2).

2. Step 2: A second interview via video conference with two other recruiters, as well as a brief 15-minute discussion with the CEO of Artelys (45 minutes x 2 + 15 minutes).

3. Step 3: If your interviews are successful, we will invite you to visit our premises to make you an offer in person and introduce you to the work environment.
