About Us:
Adult Social Care in Westminster City Council is a world of extraordinary stories, where our passionate, caring and committed professionals do brilliant work every day.
The Role:
As a Programme Manager in the Integrated Commissioning Team, focusing on leading the Mobilisation Implementation function, you can make a powerful contribution to improve people's lives. You will be responsible for helping to mobilise and implement changes achieved by the Councils, supporting re-procurement programmes across Home Care and Learning Disabilities, and overseeing the planning and delivery of these work programmes in Integrated Commissioning.
Expect to work closely with contract managers and key stakeholders for the successful mobilisation and implementation of contracts for care and support services, managing transitions, meeting agreed objectives, targets, and timescales. You'll oversee management of internal and external projects and programmes, ensuring that the Directorate activities are effectively managed and delivered on time, alongside managing and deploying necessary resources. This role will call upon your leadership skills and passion for delivering change.
Building effective relationships between ASC teams, providers, and service users to support and enable successful mobilisation implementation, while collaborating to resolve cross-cutting issues are key aspects of this role. You will provide assurance on performance while managing risks and issues for early resolution. A good understanding of existing and new service delivery models, strong planning for strategic mobilisation, attention to detail, and implementation of care are also important.
About You:
This is a unique opportunity for you to make a real difference in the lives of the residents of WCC and RBKC, using your skills, passion, and knowledge. You should have a proven track record in leading and managing multi-faceted, complex projects, ideally in social care or NHS, and be familiar with the delivery of new contract or service mobilisation and transition. This role requires a thorough understanding of project management processes, tools, and techniques, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to drive programmes to timelines.
You should also have the ability to pre-empt issues and their solutions, build collaborative relationships with all stakeholders, apply strong analytical skills to develop change strategies, and work under pressure to manage and prioritise deadlines. Strong emotional intelligence, the ability to navigate ambiguity with political agility, and good attention to detail are attributes that will help you thrive in this role.
