Senior Electrical Engineer - Contract

A leading innovative pharmaceutical business is retrofitting and expanding their new Irish facility in the midlands. The company is a global leader in the therapeutic areas of haemophilia disorders and diabetes. This is an established site, so a full program of transformation is underway to complete the works including a number of upgrades across the campus.

The business is looking to attract an experienced Electrical Engineer to oversee the progress of critical projects. This role is pivotal to enabling the organisation to reach its ambitious timelines to operational readiness.

This is initially a 12-month contract with the option to extend thereafter.

As a key member of the Engineering Project Delivery Team, you will support the utilities infrastructure and key systems onsite with specific emphasis on black utilities. Reporting into one of the Senior Project Managers, you will oversee the delivery of key campaigns across this brown-field program. This is a complex and challenging role requiring a skilled professional with exceptional communication and influencing skills.

Additional responsibilities include:

1. Champion and lead the ongoing compliance and adherence for all Electrical work.
2. Review Capital Project Appropriation submission requests for all electrical work associated with new projects.
3. Oversight and maintenance of the site's Electrical infrastructure.
4. Implement and maintain the site's Electrical standards.
5. Ownership of Electrical drawings and records.

1. Degree in Electrical Engineering is essential.
2. At least 5 years' experience in a similar role in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment plus exposure to Electrical installations within an ATEX environment.
3. Experienced in similar roles within the Pharmaceutical/Chemical industry, s/he will have a proven track record of consistent high performance and delivery in a complex, global and matrixed environment.
4. Deep understanding of GMP and the Quality standards required in the Life Sciences Manufacturing sector.
