Your contribution to our company

The Senior Engagement and Stakeholder Manager role is part of a Manchester-based delivery team and reports directly to the CAP Stakeholder Director, the STRABAG Project Director, and the CAP Leadership Team. The Senior Engagement and Stakeholder Manager is responsible for the implementation of the agreed Customer and Stakeholder Communications Management Plan, ensuring that all Customer and Stakeholder Engagement requirements are delivered to requirements. They will be assisted by a specialist customer and stakeholder engagement consultant which will provide advice and guidance on public affairs, stakeholder engagement, and strategic communications with industry bodies.

  • Recruiting, developing, and managing all engagement resources (including specialist engagement consultant) to meet the ongoing delivery requirements of the project team.
  • Development and implementation of area-focused engagement plans that are in accordance with the project-wide strategies and relevant regulatory requirements and deliver the best results for the area delivery team and their stakeholders.
  • Creating and maintaining strong and productive working relationships with all stakeholders along the project route and across the project team.
  • Interface with client leadership team and project liaison committee.
  • Assist with reporting on performance for consenting and engagement activities to the project leadership team and support project-wide reporting at a functional level.
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate risks arising from engagement and consenting activities within the delivery area, escalating within the leadership team and/or stakeholder director as required.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and support developments and updates to the Stakeholder Management Plan with the client as and when required.
  • Team leadership and development, line management of Engagement Coordinator.
  • Work with the STRABAG Communications Director and CAP Stakeholder Director to provide a functional leadership team, collaborating to provide flexible resources, consistent delivery, and development opportunities for the wider functional team.
  • Promoting the pursuit of excellence in management of engagement and consenting interfaces.
