Role: Senior Engineering Manager
Location: London, UK. Hybrid working model.

Role mission:
We are looking to augment our technology team as part of our increase growth, with an Engineering Leader who will take technical ownership for one of our complex mid market products.
This product delivers regulatory intelligence to a broad customer base and is a key part of the CUBE expansion strategy that will continue to deliver high growth in this exciting space.
As the key technology owner for the product you will build and lead a team of developers that takes ownership of the technology and delivers ongoing enhancements ensuring a high quality solution that delights our customers using CUBE's unique AI driven regulatory data and insights.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, team leadership, and agile delivery plus will also be comfortable taking design and architectural ownership for the solution. CUBE is a data driven business so a high degree of familiarity with data design and management are key.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development team for one of our key products, delivering enhancements as part of the ongoing development of the product post MVP.
- Build, lead, mentor, and guide a team of C# and Javascript developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Provide technical leadership and expertise on development best practices, design patterns, and architectural decisions.
- Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and security guidelines.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Identify and resolve technical challenges and roadblocks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, QA, and operations.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and tools including contribution to
- Agile practices
- Metrics and reporting
- DevOps practices
- Release management (working with Test and Release team)
- Stay up to date with industry best practice across relevant technology, practices and tooling, and advocate for adoption where there is a valid business case.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of professional software development experience with C# as a full stack engineer and leader.
- Proven experience leading and mentoring a team /teams of software engineers.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
- Proven experience as a software engineer with
- a strong focus on C# and .NET CORE.
- Full stack (i.e. front end technologies such as Angular).
- Database technologies such as SQL, Elastic and or document storage).
- Familiarity with event-based systems.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Passion for learning and a desire to stay current with the latest technologies.
- Management of multiple application development squads.
- Management of complex engineering delivery projects (span multiple systems and disciplines, co-ordinating product owners, business analysts, infrastructure etc).
- Strong experience with cloud environments - Azure preferable, others desirable.
