Our Senior Event Marketing Manager is an integral part of our global B2B marketing team!
How can you make an impact?
The Senior Event Marketing Manager is responsible for managing and executing strategic event marketing initiatives to enhance brand presence, drive customer engagement, and contribute to business growth for our digital medical products globally. This role requires expertise in event marketing strategy, cross-functional collaboration, and vendor management, with a focus on delivering exceptional attendee experiences. The individual will manage the global calendar of events and ensure they are effectively planned, executed, and analyzed to maximize return on investment (ROI) and align with overarching business goals. This role will be commissioned by the relevant marketing lead and will have responsibility for ensuring all events are executed successfully within budget.
This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United Kingdom. This position will require up to 50% travel, both domestically and internationally.
What you will be doing:
- Event Marketing Strategy: Lead and execute the global event strategy for digital products, aligning with global and region-specific business goals. Manage the global event calendar, including McGraw Hill led events and third-party events, ensuring each event enhances brand awareness and engagement.
- Event Planning & Execution: Strategize and execute diverse event formats, from conferences and trade shows to networking events and product launches, maximizing engagement opportunities. Innovate event experiences to enhance brand presence while efficiently managing a busy global event schedule, ensuring seamless operations, on-time delivery, and budget adherence.
- Vendor and Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with external vendors, suppliers, and stakeholders across domestic and international events. Develop accurate and detailed scopes of work, collaborating with Contract Management to ensure seamless execution. Oversee event logistics, including drayage coordination, international shipping, booth design, and on-site production.
- Market Insights: Collect and analyze market trends and attendee feedback to inform event planning, identify new opportunities, and align with product development strategies.
- Budget Management & Performance Analysis: Develop and manage annual events budget. Ensure events are delivered aligned to planned budgets with expense tracking and a ROI review. Monitor and analyze event metrics to assess success and recommend improvements for future events.
- Post-Event Analysis and Reporting: Conduct post-event evaluations, gathering feedback from attendees, stakeholders, and team members to assess event success and ROI. Deliver detailed post-event reports providing valuable insights and actionable recommendations for future improvements. This role drives continuous improvements in event planning, processes and execution, ensuring future events are more impactful and efficient.
We are looking for someone with
- Proven track record in managing event marketing campaigns and budgets.
- Experience with multi-agency management for large-scale events.
- Strong organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Expertise in crisis management and problem-solving in event settings.
- Excellent organizational and collaboration skills.
- Experience delivering events both domestically (U.S.) and internationally.
- Educated to Degree level or equivalent.
- Proficiency in event management systems or similar project management systems (e.g. Asana).
- Proficiency in event lead tracking CRM systems (e.g. Marketo).
- Strong event data analysis, reporting, and data manipulation in Excel.
- Proficient in PowerPoint and MS Office suite.
