Senior Full Stack Engineer (m/f/d) - Home office possible

Your New Role:

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing our Deep Unity Discovery/RIS product, a next-generation radiology information system designed to enhance efficiency and accuracy in healthcare environments. While your primary focus will be on backend development, you will also contribute to the frontend, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience.

What You'll Do:
  • Design, develop, and optimize scalable backend services, ensuring high performance and reliability
  • Contribute to frontend development using modern frameworks to create a seamless user experience
  • Collaborate closely with architects, product owners, and fellow engineers to understand workflows and requirements within the healthcare sector
  • Maintain high coding standards through automated testing, code reviews, and continuous integration
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges, proactively addressing technical debt
  • Stay up to date with the latest technologies and industry best practices to continuously improve our tech stack
  • Over time, become an expert in healthcare IT standards such as FHIR and DICOM

Profil What You Bring:
  • 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with a strong focus on backend technologies
  • Expertise in Java-based frameworks like Quarkus (or similar) and microservice architectures
  • Deep understanding of design patterns, cloud-native principles and software engineering best practices
  • Proficiency in JPA/Hibernate, relational databases (Oracle/PostgreSQL), and RESTful APIs
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and familiarity with Kubernetes.
  • Strong commitment to software quality, with experience in automated testing (unit, integration) and CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with frontend technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue
  • Proficiency with Git, Maven, and Linux
  • Experience in agile development teams and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
  • Fluent in English (written & spoken); German is a plus

The minimum salary for this position is € 54.000, gross per year (38.5 working hours) according to the IT-collective agreement in Austria, an overpayment plus bonus arrangement depending on qualification/experience is self-evident for us.
