IQGeo is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to support our Web and Mobile Software engineering efforts for domestic and international enterprise customers. Duties/Responsibilities

As an integral part of the Geospatial engineering team, the successful candidate will be developing new and supporting existing product releases to meet the growing list of requirements for the platform product and new industry vertical applications. Your duties and responsibilities will include:

  1. Design, development, maintenance, and enhancement of software products adhering to the product architecture
  2. Implementation of automated testing
  3. Configuration management and management of build
  4. Technical documentation of software design

Required Skills & Experience

Essential

You must have all of the following:

  1. Professional experience building server-side applications in Python
  2. Professional experience with SQL and RDBMS technology (PostgreSQL, SQLite, or similar)
  3. Professional experience building client-side applications in JavaScript
  4. Professional experience integrating front-end and back-end components
  5. Professional experience creating and running automated tests
  6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  7. Excellent oral and written communication skills, able to present technical concepts to Architects and Developers
  8. Experience using Git or other distributed version control systems
  9. UK citizenship or permanent residency required
  10. Fluent written and spoken English

Desirable

Ideally, you'll have some of the following:

  1. Experience working with Docker containers
  2. Experience with React in Javascript
  3. Experience with Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) or web mapping
  4. Experience within the telecommunications and/or utilities industries
  5. Knowledge of Node.js design and development
  6. Enterprise Integration especially web services
  7. Experience working in an Agile environment
  8. Experience with Linux system architecture/administration and supporting network architecture
  9. Experience working in cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  10. Knowledge of or experience with: OpenLayers, PostGIS, Pyramid, Shapely, Turf, and SQLAlchemy

Education

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent industry experience.
