Job Description
Senior Homecare Medicines Contract Officer University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW)

A new opportunity has arisen in the Homecare team. The post holder will be responsible for the effective operation of the homecare medicines team to support the delivery of homecare services. They will be responsible for managing the Pharmacy IT system in order to maintain accurate and up to date files and ensure appropriate financial transactions.

Main duties of the job
  • To manage the day to day operation of the Pharmacy Homecare administrative team.
  • To oversee all aspects of administration involved with the Pharmacy Homecare service from order creation through to invoice payment.
  • To support with recruitment, induction and development of the Pharmacy Homecare administrative team.
  • To provide support, information and advice to staff and patients, relating to the homecare service.
Person Specification Qualifications and Training
  • Level 2 Standard Maths and English (GCSE grade C or 4).
  • Educated to A Level or equivalent qualification level.
  • PWDS Homecare Validation Checking course or equivalent.
Knowledge and Experience
  • Experience of working in an analytical role.
  • Experience of supervising staff.
  • Experience of communicating with senior staff.
  • Experience of working in a patient focused environment.
  • Experience of working in NHS Hospital services.
  • Experience of spreadsheet software, preferably Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of the Homecare Medicines Standards.
  • Experience of working in NHS Hospital Pharmacy Homecare Services.
Skills and Abilities
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and to agreed deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a wide range of clients.
  • Ability to manage a complex and varying workload without supervision.
  • Ability to undertake work with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to analyse large and complex financial and patient data.
  • Excellent data interpretation and presentation skills.
  • Excellent numerical and statistical skills.
