Senior Integration Developer

On behalf of UKRI, we are looking for a Senior Integration Developer (Inside IR35) for a 14 Month contract based REMOTELY.

Context:

Innovate UK is currently undergoing an exciting Data Strategy Implementation program to develop new data and AI solutions, aiming to improve productivity, automate processes, and enhance the customer experience. As part of the growing Data Engineering team, the Senior Integration Developer will play a key role in driving the integration of various SaaS products used within Innovate UK.

The Senior Integration Developer will be a vital member of the expanding data team and will contribute to create API based integration across various SaaS products used within Innovate UK. This position is part of Data Engineering team in Business & Insight org of Innovate UK.

Job Purpose:

Develop and support data integration across products such as Salesforce, Workday, public APIs and RDS instances. The Senior Integration Developer is expected to have good proficiency with tools & technologies such as AWS API gateway, AWS Lambda, terraform, Serverless, NodeJS, Python and incident management tools with in IUK eco system.

As a Senior Integration Developer your main responsibilities will be to:
. Develop and implement complete solution designs to meet complex application requirements across platforms and data sources.
. Manage infrastructure and deployments using Serverless and Terraform.
. Mentor in-house team and ensure knowledge transfer regarding integrations and APIs.
. Maintain and develop CI/CD pipelines using AWS stack and GitHub actions.
. Develop and maintain APIs over AWS platform using services like API Gateway, Lambda, CloudWatch, EventBridge, SNS and programming language such as NodeJS and Python.
. Ensure API security with protocols such as TLS and mTLS.
. Develop integrations between SaaS product such as Salesforce, Workday, Public APIs.
. Implementations of alert and notifications using AWS tools and Datadog to provide visibility over operational efficiency of APIs.
. Integrate incident management tools with operational dashboards.
. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve incidents in production environment.
. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide updates on support tickets.

Essential:
. Proven experience in an Agile environment with the ability to adapt to rapidly changing requirements.
. Strong expertise in API integration and development (NodeJS, Python).
. Extensive experience with AWS tools such as API Gateway, Lambda, CloudWatch, Event bridge and SNS.
. Experience working with AWS stack and its integration with alert and monitoring tools like Datadog.
. Solid understanding of integration patterns and best practices.
. Comfortable with incident resolution, including debugging logs using AWS tools.
. Experience working with infrastructure management tools such as terraform and serverless.
. Experience maintaining code repositories over GitHub and delivering CI/CD pipelines in AWS.
. Solid SQL experience on various platforms such as PostgreSQL, Athena.
. Experience designing API integrations across SaaS products.
. Experience mentoring or coaching teams.
. Excellent communication skills, able to collaborate with both internal teams and suppliers.
