Senior KDB+ Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced KDB+ Developer to work on a contract basis for one of our clients based in the heart of London. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team, working with cutting-edge technology while developing your skills.

Job Description:

Role:
As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for designing and implementing innovative solutions using advanced knowledge of KDB+/q programming. You should have strong understanding time series data structures and analytics as well as experience with high-frequency data processing.

Responsibilities:
- Design and develop high-performance KDB+/q solutions for market data storage and Real Time analytics
- Build and maintain streaming analytics systems processing substantial volumes of financial market data
- Optimize existing KDB+ databases and queries for performance and scalability
- Collaborate with traders, e-trading teams, and application teams to understand and implement business requirements
- Work closely with cross-functional teams across UK and India to deliver robust solutions

Qualifications & Skills:
To apply for this position, candidates must possess expertise including but not limited to -

- 5+ years of hands-on experience with KDB+/q (will consider 3-4 years for exceptional candidates)
- Strong understanding of time series data structures and analytics
- Proven track record of optimizing large-scale KDB+ databases
- Experience with Real Time data processing and streaming analytics
- Deep understanding of financial markets data structures and workflows

Contract details:

Outside IR35
Rate: Luke to advise on market rates
Two days per week onsite in London is ideal
12 month contract - likely to extend
