We are looking to recruit a dynamic and highly motivated Senior Maintenance Engineer to work within the existing Engineering team for the City of Wolverhampton Council, working under the direction of the Building Engineering Manager.

Call-out and weekend working will be an essential part of this role.

Role Responsibilities:

• Lead engineering repairs and maintenance across various plant systems.
• Conduct building services inspections and condition surveys.
• Manage maintenance projects from inception to completion, including work programmes and budgets.
• Liaise with stakeholders and manage staff and contractors.

Key Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (NVQ Level 6, or equivalent experience).
• Substantial post-qualification experience in engineering building services maintenance.
• Expertise in the current edition of IET electrical installation regulations, along with previous editions.
• Experience with BMS control systems (ideally Schneider/Trend), gas systems, commercial heating, fire alarm testing, Legionella, water treatment, and more.
• Knowledge of Asbestos awareness, lift inspections, and managing term and framework contractors.
• Strong understanding of legislative requirements such as Gas Regs, ACOP L8 (Legionella), and IEE Regulations.
