My client is an established brand in the FMCG beauty/cosmetics industry boasting not only revenue nearing £100mil, but also a loyal customer-base built up from social media showcasing several years of providing in-house developed, cruelty-free, niche products that their customers are proud to own. Operating across Europe, North America, and Oceania but with a London-based team of 40, they are a cash-rich, profitable, growing company looking to continue on this trajectory into 2025 and beyond.

Job Description

  • Prepare accruals, prepayments, accounts, P&Ls, balance sheets on a monthly and quarterly basis to be presented to and reviewed by the Financial Controller.
  • Manage a direct report - the Junior Management Accountant.
  • Work collaboratively with the finance business partner, the rest of the finance and wider UK and Europe team.
  • Prepare the quarterly VAT return using the accounting system NetSuite.
  • Work with external auditors and internally coordinate the year-end audit cycles.
  • Be proactive in your day-to-day, identifying areas for improvement and suggesting creative solutions.
  • Advising on long-term business and financial planning.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Senior Management Accountant will have:

  • An ACA, ACCA, or CIMA (or equivalent) qualification.
  • A strong background in a similar sized and operating company within the FMCG industry.
  • Exposure to VAT returns and stock reconciliations in an FMCG industry.
  • Line management experience.
  • Preferably experience working in the beauty/cosmetics/luxury goods sector.
  • Exposure to NetSuite or similar accounting software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • An inquisitive, driven, proactive personality, undaunted by a challenge and keen to make a tangible impact from their work.
