Job Details Salary: Competitive Hours: Full Time (9am - 5.30pm) Location: Crawley VHQ, 3 days on site per week Contract: Permanent Closing Date: 21st April 2025 In a nutshell As our Senior Manager - Corporate Compliance, you'll play a vital role in establishing, promoting, and overseeing corporate compliance programmes, policies, and initiatives across the business. Covering regulatory themes that impact the functioning of the company, such as data privacy, sustainability, conduct, bribery, and corruption. Reporting to the VP of General Counsel, this is an influential role where you'll lead with integrity, embed ethical standards, and drive a business-led approach to compliance across the Virgin Atlantic Group. You'll also be responsible for building and managing a small but impactful team, providing strategic guidance and compliance-related support to a range of senior stakeholders, including the Executive Team and external regulators. Day to day Your key responsibilities will include: 
- Developing and implementing an effective, business-led corporate compliance strategy.
- Overseeing a framework that promotes effective corporate compliance risk management, robust governance and strong internal controls.
- Conducting risk-based compliance assessments and corrective action planning.
- Leading the Corporate Compliance team, fostering development and strong performance.
- Advising stakeholders on governance and compliance matters across jurisdictions.
- Managing compliance-related policies, procedures, and delivering engaging training.
- Producing insightful and actionable compliance reporting.
- Supporting investigations and helping resolve compliance breaches swiftly and effectively.
- Collaborating with senior business managers to strengthen compliance controls and drive a culture of compliance.
- Developing tools to manage compliance horizon scanning and regulatory change management.
- Developing management information and reporting on the firm's corporate compliance.
- Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Law, Accountancy, or a related field.
- Have a minimum of 3 years' managerial or senior technical experience in corporate compliance assurance or advisory programmes, audit, regulatory legal, governance or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated expertise in building and developing a robust, high-performance compliance, risk, or assurance function.
- In-depth understanding of corporate regulations, regulatory themes, and compliance trends and methodologies.
- Proven experience working with regulatory bodies and managing cross-jurisdictional issues.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including active listening.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with sound judgement and discretion.
- Familiarity with technology-driven compliance solutions and modern assurance frameworks.
- Ability to business partner across the organisation, including Internal Audit, Risk, Data, and external governing bodies or consultancies.
- Candidates with a background in commerce or industry would be of particular interest, given the breadth of Virgin Atlantic's business and role responsibilities.
