HOURS: Full time

WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in an office site

About the role

We're on an exciting journey to transform our Group and the way we're shaping finance for good. We're focusing on the future, investing in our technologies, workplaces, and colleagues to make our Group a great place for everyone. Including you!

What you'll be doing

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of risk specialists responsible for first line financial crime risk management across our Consumer Relationships and Consumer Lending businesses. You will work closely with partners across the Group and external industry bodies to help support and influence the development of policy and best practice.

You will work with other senior managers covering our risk specialisms including Sanctions, Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Bribery and Corruption, and Tax Evasion by conducting risk assessments and leading the design of effective controls.

We work as a high performing team, and you will help colleagues to become rounded risk professionals with depth of technical expertise and great skills to excel in their careers.

What you'll need
  • Can you work in a fast-paced, dynamic and challenging environment demonstrating resilience and effective delivery?
  • Experience in the design and implementation of a compliance programme while ensuring adherence to regulatory and compliance standards.
  • Demonstrable experience leading teams and ability to work effectively with partners across a variety of business functions.
  • Strong experience and technical knowledge in an Economic Crime Prevention role.
  • Proven ability to manage teams and get the best out of colleagues through effective coaching.
  • A track record in coordinating work in order to achieve expectations and timelines.
  • You will need to have a passion for easily adapting and changing ways of working to keep our impact fresh and new.

And if you have any experience of this it would be really useful:

  • Ability to identify shortcomings, then suggest and implement improvements to existing business practices.
  • Working with data or knowing how to use data to get the best out of our risk management practices.
About us

We're on an exciting journey and there couldn't be a better time to join us. The investments we're making in our people, data, and technology are leading to innovative projects, fresh possibilities, and countless new ways for our people to work, learn, and thrive.

About working for us

Our focus is to ensure we're inclusive every day, building an organisation that reflects modern society and celebrates diversity in all its forms.

We want everyone to feel that they belong and can be their best, regardless of background, identity or culture.

We were one of the first major organisations to set goals on diversity in senior roles, create a menopause health package, and a dedicated Working with Cancer initiative.

And it's why we especially welcome applications from under-represented groups.

We're disability confident. So, if you'd like reasonable adjustments to be made to our recruitment processes, just let us know.

We also offer a wide-ranging benefits package, which includes:
  • A generous pension contribution of up to 15%
  • An annual bonus award, subject to Group performance
  • Share schemes including free shares!
  • Benefits you can adapt to your lifestyle, such as discounted shopping.
  • 30 days' holiday, with bank holidays on top
  • A range of wellbeing initiatives and generous parental leave policies

If you're excited by the thought of becoming part of our team, get in touch. We'd love to hear from you.
