Based in Taunton, this leading regional firm of chartered accountants is undergoing continued growth and planning for ongoing future success. The firm is looking for a well-rounded accountancy practice professional who can lead the development and growth of a specialist service line within this office. The firm's clients are varied, including entrepreneurial start-ups, sole traders, partnerships, and a significant proportion of OMBs and SMEs with turnovers in the millions across diverse sectors. This role will focus on developing and leading the growth of their medical sector service arm, with a clear route to progress on offer.

Job Description

Based from the firm's Taunton offices, the successful candidate will join as a Senior Manager or Director - Medical Sector Specialist, adaptable in level based on background and experience. You will manage a substantial portfolio across accounting, taxation, and business advice delivery, oversee staff, workloads, and budgets, and aim to grow the firm's medical sector service lines. Building strong relationships with clients in a client-facing capacity is essential, advising on accounting and added value advisory services. Advisory work will involve projects across business and tax planning, remuneration, exit and pension plans, mergers and acquisitions, property-related expansions, and other advisory projects.

The Successful Applicant

For this Senior Manager or Director - Medical Sector Specialist role, you will hold qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CTA, with a strong background in accountancy practice at Managerial or Director levels. You will possess skills across accounts, tax, advisory, and planning as a general practitioner.
