At Gearset, we're on a mission to revolutionise DevOps for Salesforce, and we're looking for a Senior Marketing Manager of Brand and Community to be at the heart of our efforts on a 12-14 month fixed term basis. In this role, you'll have the chance to shape and amplify our brand strategy while fostering a vibrant, engaged community in the Salesforce ecosystem. It's a role with broad scope, overseeing brand strategy, developer advocacy, community building, events, PR, design, web development, and social media-all within a fast-growing B2B SaaS company with big ambitions. What's the opportunity for a Senior Marketing Manager - Brand & Community at Gearset?
  • Develop and lead Gearset's brand strategy to increase market share and align with our business objectives.
  • Ensure consistent and compelling brand messaging across all channels.
  • Accountability for the design and web development team, crafting seamless and engaging user experiences across our digital platforms.
  • Oversee community-building initiatives, including webinars, workshops, meetups, and developer advocacy programs.
  • Plan and execute impactful events like conferences and trade shows to connect Gearset with the Salesforce community.
  • Create and implement PR strategies to elevate Gearset's visibility and reputation in the market.
  • Collaborate on Gearset's social media strategy, driving growth and engagement while staying on top of trends.
  • Inspire and mentor a talented team across design, web, events, PR, and community management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align initiatives with business goals and measure success through key performance indicators.
What you will achieve
  • Execute a cohesive brand strategy that aligns with Gearset's vision, ensuring consistent messaging across all channels.
  • Deliver and iterate on new positioning being rolled out across the company.
  • Develop and expand Gearset's community engagement and developer advocacy programs to connect with the Salesforce ecosystem, fostering lasting relationships with customers, influencers, and key stakeholders.
  • Oversee the design and web development functions, ensuring our digital platforms are user-friendly, visually appealing, and support marketing goals.
  • Plan and deliver impactful events and PR campaigns, showcasing Gearset's expertise at trade shows, conferences, and through media engagements.
  • Lead Gearset's social media strategy to enhance brand awareness, engagement, and community growth.
  • Inspire and develop a high-performing team, collaborating with marketing, product, and sales teams to align brand and community initiatives with overall business goals.
  • Use data-driven insights to monitor performance, optimise strategies, and ensure continuous improvement.
About you
  • You have proven experience in brand positioning and perception, ideally within the B2B SaaS or tech space.
  • A natural leader, with extensive people management experience, you excel at mentoring and managing teams, fostering collaboration across departments, and driving shared goals.
  • You have a strong understanding of events, as part of delivering against our brand strategy.
  • You're skilled at managing design and digital projects, ensuring a seamless user experience across web and digital platforms.
  • You bring a creative and strategic mindset, coupled with the ability to analyse data, measure impact, and refine initiatives for continuous growth.
  • You thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy working on a variety of initiatives that contribute to a shared vision.
Great to haves
  • Experience working in or with the Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Familiarity with DevOps, SaaS, or tech communities.
  • Experience in community building.

  • Salary is dependent on experience.
  • This is a full-time fixed term (12-14 month) opportunity, working Monday to Friday remote in the UK, but with the ability to be at our Cambridge HQ once a month.
