Job Description

We are looking to hire a Senior Operations Manager to oversee our EU fulfilment capabilities. You will be responsible for all DTC and Retail fulfilment operations, ensuring that our customers receive a fantastic experience: with timely delivery of perfectly packed Wild products; and partners in Europe (including DM and Rossmann) have a seamless fulfilment experience.

This will involve closely managing our relationships with our 3PL in the EU to ensure timely and accurate fulfilment of orders. We are looking for a talented and ambitious individual, who will thrive in a high growth, high-paced environment. This role will report into the Head of Operations.

This is a great opportunity to join a high growth start-up, with sustainability at its very core, changing the way consumers think about personal care products.

This will be based in our London office, with occasional travel to Europe.

Please note this is a mid-level managerial role.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Operations Manager at Wild, you will be responsible for the following:

Operational Excellence:
  • Relationship management: Closely manage our relationships with our external EU fulfilment providers (3PLs and logistics partners), ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and performance metrics.
  • Launch management: Coordinate critical DTC product launches and Retail pipefill with our 3PLs to ensure operational success.
  • Process enhancement: Develop and improve our standard operating procedures (SOPs) for logistics management and order fulfilment to meet operational goals and KPIs. Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to support Wild's ambitious growth plans.
  • Fulfilment: Oversee fulfilment of orders and liaise with external partners and customers to communicate updates and ensure all orders are fulfilled on time and in full.
  • Inventory management: Work closely with the Supply Chain team to manage weekly stock holding levels at our 3PLs and external retailer warehouses, ensuring stock transfers are up to date and reflect real-life stock movements.
  • Data & Reporting: Develop, implement, and govern KPI reporting to monitor operational performance, track key trends, and identify areas for improvement. Utilise data analytics to drive decision-making and operational optimisation.
  • Commercial: Own our end of month Fulfilment invoice review process, understand how they impact our P&L and business plan and identify and implement cost optimisation opportunities and initiatives.
Project Management:
  • Own and drive complex cross-functional operational projects from initiation to completion, coordinating inputs from other business units to meet deadlines.
  • Cross team collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Supply Chain, Retail, Marketing, Customer Experience, and Finance, to align operational strategies with overall business objectives.
Team Leadership:
  • Manage our 2 Operations Executives, ensure you coach and develop their skills and hold effective weekly 1-1s.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
Role Requirements

We are looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:

  • 5 years of operations experience in an e-commerce business that operates across both DTC and Retail channels (ideally an FMCG scale-up), with warehouse and logistics experience as the main area of expertise (preferably with experience in the EU market).
  • Strong grasp of e-commerce ops tech infrastructure, including ERPs, WMSs, Shopify.
  • Proficient in handling large, intricate datasets, including expert skills in Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Proven track record of success in optimising operations, driving efficiency improvements, and managing complex cross-functional projects.
  • Great attention to detail, and a constant drive to improve the status quo.
  • Self-starter who is as happy head down in a spreadsheet as talking to external partners.
  • You have a growth mindset and are naturally intellectually curious - always excited to learn and improve, and willing to run at problems and relish the opportunity to solve them.
  • Negotiation: Strong communication and negotiation skills, to ensure our partners hit the high standards we aspire to deliver for our customers.
Please note that we welcome applications from candidates who may not hit every single bullet point on the lists below - if you're passionate about our mission and feel you have relevant skills and experiences to add value to this role, please submit an application! How to apply?
