This is an exciting opportunity for us and one which will provide significant strides in our journey towards becoming the UK's Number 1 Commercial Insurer. Allianz UK will drive profitable growth across this important segment and establish ourselves as the employer of choice.

As a result of this proposition, we're looking for an experienced Property & Casualty Senior Underwriter to join our fast-paced and already successful team in Leeds (Hybrid working, 3 days a week in the office).

Key responsibilities:

1. Acting as a Senior Authority holder focused on winning and retaining business of a large and complex nature.
2. Providing excellent service to our customers.
3. Building and developing successful broker relationships.
4. Being visible in the local market, thriving on face-to-face contact with brokers and end customers.
5. Developing business relationships with key clients.
6. Achieving agreed financial and operational performance targets.
7. Collaborating strongly with other departments to achieve the Company's goals in respect of service delivery.

About You:

1. Outstanding technical underwriting skills in commercial property and/or casualty (ideally already at a senior level).
2. Proven track record of dealing with large and/or complex risks.
3. Capable of leveraging data and analytics.
4. Strong leadership capabilities.
5. Excellent trading skills and a confident negotiator with proven experience in handling large cases.
6. Strong ability to build, develop and maintain broker relationships.
7. Achievement-oriented, able to organize own workload to meet tight deadlines with a positive attitude.
8. A good team player, supportive to others with an enthusiastic and positive attitude.
9. Confident and engaging communication skills with the ability to challenge and influence others.
10. ACII qualified or progressing towards it.
11. Full working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
