Senior Procurement Officer (Hybrid)

Senior Procurement Officer (Hybrid) needed in Gloucester, £366.62 per day PAYE - Reference:

You will ideally have PCR 2015 Light-Touch and should have undertaken PA 23 Government Commercial college Elearning and certification.

1. Use specialist knowledge or expertise, e.g. supplier or market research, cost modelling, risk transfer or benchmarking to achieve outcomes.
2. Use information and analysis to inform the development of commissioning and commercial thinking.
3. Undertake or lead discreet procurement projects and attend project/review board meetings as required.
4. Assess Social Value and work to maximise it through your work.
5. Ensure effective communication and engagement with stakeholders and partners (including external suppliers).
6. Assess and manage the risk associated with each activity.
7. Keep up-to-date with relevant policy, best practice and legislative changes.
8. Work on complex innovative or higher risk tenders or in areas where the supply market is less well developed.
9. Work with legal and other professional experts to develop the form of contract, special terms and conditions, KPI's and where appropriate incentive or payment strategies.
10. Prepare procurement strategies that describe your procurement findings and recommended approach.
11. Ensure that specifications and outcomes are expressed in a meaningful way that can be priced by the market.
12. Develop evaluation models to achieve the desired outcome and best value for money.

This is a full time role on a temporary contract basis.
