Division: Asset Operations & Capital Delivery

Location: Hybrid - Maple Lodge (STW) - WD3 9SQ

Contract type: Permanent

Full/Part-time: Full-time

Hours: 36 hours - Monday to Friday

Salary: £46,000 to £65,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience

Job grade: B

Opportunity Overview

Join Thames Water's vibrant team leading capital projects! As a Senior Engineer, you will be at the forefront of transforming and modernising wastewater networks, addressing issues like sewer flooding, spills, and network upgrades.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Oversee design development of wastewater network projects from concept to contract award.
  2. Identify and mitigate project risks, enabling scope definition and robust contractor pricing.
  3. Ensure detailed design accuracy and manage design changes during construction.
  4. Support project teams during commissioning and asset handover.
  5. Conduct design reviews to ensure safety and operational compliance.
  6. Act as the main contact for CDM Designer or Principal Designer roles during initial design phases.
  7. Contribute to and improve Technical Asset Standards.
Working Arrangements

This role offers flexible hybrid working at Maple Lodge. Candidates must have a driving license and access to a car, though applications from non-drivers are welcome.

Candidate Requirements
  • Engineering HNC, degree, or master's in relevant discipline.
  • Chartered engineer or nearing chartership with a professional body.
  • Experience in wastewater network design and rehabilitation.
  • Knowledge of project delivery principles in process industries.
  • Understanding of Health & Safety in construction.
  • Ability to make informed decisions regarding industrial processes.
