Role Description:

The Senior Project Manager will take ownership of a portfolio of projects, delivering to Healthcare Customers within the UK in accordance with contracts and agreed budgets to satisfy the customer and business requirements. The role will focus on improving efficiency and effectiveness through project management process and tool improvements.

Responsibilities:

  1. Managing and delivering the allocated project portfolio
  2. Maintaining and improving project management process and tools to achieve target improvements
  3. Being responsible for all the project management activities in accordance with the company project management procedure (Prince 2 based):
  4. Project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and control of all aspects of the project.
  5. Undertaking risk and issue management
  6. Maintaining all project documents
  7. Providing status reports, identifying accomplishments, risks, issues, milestones against the baseline plan together with forecasts
  8. Holding and attending regular internal and customer-led project meetings
  9. Communicating effectively with all stakeholders
  10. Motivating all members involved in the project to ensure it is completed on time, to the specified budget, quality, and performance criteria
  11. Coordinating the delivery of software developments as necessary
  12. Arranging delivery of projects in accordance with the contractual requirements.
  13. Ensuring contract acceptance and sign-off by the customer
  14. Accepting the handover from the sales team to commence project initiation and delivering project handover to the support team
  15. Coordinating activities between Clinisys and third parties as required within the scope of the project
  16. Facilitating quality activities of the project and delivery team
  17. Participating in cross-functional projects
  18. Working with and following the guidance of the Programme Manager or Programme Director

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  1. Demonstrable and proven experience of working on large, complex projects in partnership with the UK Health Sector
  2. Experience within an IT or software provider organization
  3. Experience working with MS Project
  4. Prince 2 Practitioner
  5. Leadership skills to manage a team and a portfolio of projects
  6. Ability and willingness to take initiative toward project completion
  7. Ability and willingness to work independently
  8. Customer service skills and stakeholder management
  9. Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects
  10. Ability to create and deliver executive-level summary reports and presentations
  11. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; including communicating with technical and non-technical clients and staff at all organizational levels.
