Position Overview

As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of complex projects and strategic programmes across the organization. Collaborating with internal teams and third-party partners, you'll manage initiatives such as large-scale product onboarding, bespoke automation, and technology integrations.

You'll oversee programme-level planning, governance, and reporting-ensuring alignment with business goals, effective risk and resource management, and strong stakeholder engagement. Working across Agile (SCRUM), Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies, you'll apply the right approach to ensure successful delivery.

In addition, you'll maintain financial control across projects and programmes, managing budgets, tracking spend, and ensuring cost-effective execution. As a subject matter expert, you'll provide strategic guidance and drive delivery excellence across multiple workstreams.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Programme & Project Governance
Contribute to the establishment and oversight of governance frameworks, ensuring robust project and programme controls, processes, and reporting are in place and consistently followed.
Develop and maintain high-quality management information (MI) reporting to track performance, highlight risks, and mitigate scope creep across complex initiatives.
Define and enforce structured change control processes to effectively manage scope, cost, and timeline adjustments across projects and programmes.
Provide strategic recommendations for the ongoing enhancement of project management tooling and methodologies aligned with evolving business needs.
  2. Programme, Portfolio & Delivery Management
Oversee the end-to-end delivery of a portfolio of strategic projects within the products division, ensuring alignment with business objectives and resource capacity.
Lead programme planning, forecasting, and prioritization across multiple concurrent initiatives, leveraging both Agile and Waterfall methodologies where appropriate.
Ensure consistent execution against Statements of Work (SOW), managing delivery to time, scope, quality, and budget.
Own financial performance across the portfolio-tracking budgets, controlling costs, and supporting accurate forecasting.
Drive accountability across delivery teams and ensure risks, issues, and dependencies are effectively managed and escalated where necessary.
Conduct executive-level project reviews to monitor health, share insights, and align on corrective actions.
  3. Client & Stakeholder Management
Act as a senior point of contact for key internal and external stakeholders, including escalation management for in-flight projects.
Develop and execute stakeholder engagement plans to build trust, maintain alignment, and ensure client satisfaction throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Ensure a seamless transition from project implementation to operational handover, preserving continuity and client confidence.
Represent the project function across senior leadership forums and contribute to strategic decision-making within the broader organisation.
  4. Operations & Agile Project Management
Facilitate Agile ceremonies including backlog grooming, sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives, ensuring continuous improvement and delivery velocity.
Drive operational excellence by ensuring teams adhere to delivery timelines, budgets, and quality standards while fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
Actively contribute to the maturity of internal delivery practices and promote consistency across cross-functional teams.

Required Skills and Experience:

You bring a combination of commercial awareness, delivery discipline, and emotional intelligence, enabling you to lead cross-functional teams and navigate complex stakeholder landscapes with confidence. You take ownership of outcomes and consistently ensure that projects and programmes are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

7+ years of experience in technical project and programme management, leading the delivery of enterprise-level solutions (e.g., automation, integrations, or platform rollouts).

Extensive experience delivering projects using both Agile (SCRUM) and Waterfall methodologies; able to tailor delivery approach based on project context.

Certified in PRINCE2 and/or PMP, with practical experience applying structured governance and project controls.

Strong working knowledge of project management tools, including Jira, Salesforce, Microsoft Project, and related reporting frameworks.

Proven financial management skills-able to baseline budgets, control costs, track financial performance, and ensure profitability.

Exceptional stakeholder management, with the ability to influence and communicate effectively at all levels, including executive and client-facing roles.

Highly self-sufficient, organized, and detail-oriented, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and risk mitigation.
