Job Description:

One of Ireland's leading trading firms is seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Developer with strong database expertise. This is a permanent position offering one of the top salary packages in Ireland. They will also pay relocation packages for Senior candidates looking to relocate from overseas in the EU.

Must have an EU/UK Passport.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop, optimise, and maintain high-performance Python applications.
• Design and implement robust database solutions to support trading operations.
• Work closely with quantitative analysts and traders to develop trading strategies.
• Ensure code quality, performance, and scalability in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system efficiency.
• Implement best practices for software development, including testing and deployment.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing applications.

Experience Required:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Python Developer.
• Strong database experience (SQL, PostgreSQL, or similar).
• Experience working in a high-performance or data-intensive environment.
• Knowledge of financial markets or trading systems is an advantage.

Desirable Skills:

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience with Real Time data processing.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.).

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
