Role: Senior Radiographer - Radiotherapy
Location: London, The Harley Street Clinic
Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday
Shift times: Service is open from 08:00 to 20:00. We can offer a 9- or 10-day working fortnight
Contract: Permanent
Salary: Competitive dependent upon skills and experience (with excellent benefits)

We're looking for a Senior Radiotherapist to join our team at The Harley Street Clinic, currently rated "Outstanding" by the CQC.

At The Harley Street Clinic, we provide a range of complex care services, specialising in oncology, cardiology and neuroscience. From open heart surgery to pioneering techniques to treat cancer, our clinicians work together to provide the best possible care and treatments for our patients. Our staff always go the extra mile in caring for our patients which can be demonstrated by our recent outstanding rating awarded by the CQC.

The successful post holder will work as a member of the Radiotherapy teams responsible for maintaining and developing both services. You will work on the linacs, CT and Gamma Knife as required.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Be responsible for the accurate planning or administration of radiosurgery and radiotherapy treatments ensuring accurate documentation of treatments in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
  2. In conjunction with senior radiographic staff, agree, implement and monitor systems of work, quality assurance procedures and protocols.
  3. Maintain effective liaison with all appropriate staff to ensure the provision of a high-quality service and a smooth and efficient workflow across the radiation oncology services.
  4. Operate radiosurgery and radiotherapy equipment in accordance with operational procedures ensuring routine quality assurance procedures are carried out.
  5. Ensure all equipment faults and malfunctions are recorded and reported to the Radiotherapy Service Manager and Physicist.
  6. Ensure accurate statistical information is collated in accordance with department policy. Take part in audits as required.

What You'll Bring:

  1. BSc (Hons) in Therapeutic Radiography or equivalent
  2. HCPC registration
  3. Post-graduation clinical experience
  4. Advanced knowledge of patient management systems, experience using Varian and Aria.
