Due to our expansion, we are offering you the chance to join an award-winning education recruitment agency as a Senior Education Recruitment Consultant to lead the growth of a newer region. You'll receive a competitive base salary ranging from £25,000 to £40,000, depending on your experience, along with ample opportunities for career advancement and a high earning potential.

WHAT IS YOUR ROLE?
As a Senior Education Recruitment Consultant, your primary responsibility will be to develop Smile's presence across the South Yorkshire region, recruiting teaching staff, both on a temporary and permanent basis for schools. This role encompasses the full 360-degree recruitment process, which includes cold calling and new business development, as well as candidate sourcing and interviewing.

You should possess resilience and tenacity, along with excellent communication skills to build authentic relationships, which are crucial for success. You must be determined, self-motivated, and goal-oriented, capable of problem-solving and thinking on your feet to meet targets in a dynamic environment.

The role offers flexibility dependent on location for either remote if based in or around Sheffield or hybrid if you are commutable to our Manchester or Birmingham office.

WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?

  • Developing business and presence in a newer South Yorkshire region.
  • Achieving weekly KPIs and targets with support from your team.
  • Building relationships with schools using various business development tools.
  • Recruiting staff through various techniques, including adverts, job board sourcing, creating a robust social media presence, and headhunting.
  • Conducting telephone, virtual, and face-to-face interviews with candidates.
  • Collaborating with the specialised compliance team to ensure candidates meet all necessary requirements to work.
  • Working proactively and swiftly to fulfil your clients' vacancy needs.

ARE YOU IDEAL FOR THIS ROLE?
  • Previous education recruitment experience is essential, not afraid of the challenge of developing a newer region.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, targeted, and high-pressured sales position.
  • Possess an investigative nature and experience in asking open-ended questions.

  • You should be tenacious and resilient, with the confidence to build authentic relationships at all levels.

  • Maintain a stable work history with the ability to explain reasons for leaving previous positions.
  • Driving Licence.

WHAT WILL BE YOUR WORKING HOURS?
During term time, your hours will be 7 am to 5 pm (with a 4 pm finish on Fridays). After your probation period, the hours will be 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. In school holidays, you will work from 9 am to 3:30 pm.
