Temporary Senior SEND Business Support Admin OfficerRef number: Bournemouth

This is a temporary role, with the possibility to extend and will be based in the Office (BCP Civic) initially for a training period of up to 2 weeks, thereafter office based once a week.

Skills & Experience:
  • A Level qualification, NVQ 3 in Business Administration or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of ICT tools including MS Office and other relevant programs.
  • Knowledge of database management and production of reports.
  • Experience of providing administrative support and working with a range of partnership organisations such as other LA's or Health Partners.
  • Experience and excellent skills in preparing clear and succinct meeting notes.
  • Experience in diary management for Senior Officers to organise large meetings and events.
  • Minute Taking skills.
  • Ability to communicate with a range of internal and external stakeholders to resolve and escalate complex issues in a professional manner.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise your workload effectively in an environment of change with competing demands and using initiative to provide proactive support.
What's involved with this role:

We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Business Support Officer with strong administrative skills to join the SEND Business Support Team.

Key responsibilities:
  • Provide guidance and support to team members on complex SEND processes and systems, ensuring the team delivers high-quality performance aligned with objectives.
  • Handle and resolve escalated enquiries from parents, schools, and external stakeholders, demonstrating strong communication skills and ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • Organize and document multi-agency meetings related to SEND, capturing key decisions and effectively summarizing information to ensure accurate follow-up.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of SEND processes, procedures, and regulations to provide accurate and efficient administrative support.
  • Ensure accuracy in data entry and management, including SEND case details, spreadsheets, and bespoke databases.
  • Collect, collate, and analyze SEND-related statistical data, providing insights to support decision-making and service improvements.
  • Review, interpret, and disseminate SEND data and information to support informed decision-making and monitor service performance effectively.
