As a Senior Analog IC Design Engineer, you will be comfortable working across the complete IP development life cycle providing key technical expertise and direction for the reusable IP development activities within the company. Ideally experienced in hardware and software Development and Lifecycle methodologies, you will have a strong track record in analog design coupled with a high degree of competence and an interest in software and design automation. As an excellent communicator and working as a key technical resource you will work collaboratively and proactively with colleagues across a range of disciplines to develop designs and enhance tools and infrastructure to automate the creation and verification of analog IP.

What you will be doing:

1. Technical leadership of Analog Block/Sub-system developments.
2. Design, definition and implementation of analog blocks and circuits using a top-down design methodology.
3. Deploying your knowledge and experience to guide customers and drive design decisions that enable success on silicon.
4. Investigation and definition for architectural needs and options in analog circuits.
5. Behavioural modelling for circuits and circuit architectures using Verilog-A.
6. Development of analog verification test benches to ensure performance and functionality across PVT.
7. Transistor level analysis and design to achieve customer requirements.
8. Understanding and knowledge of the layout of analog circuits, either through direct activities or support to layout engineers.
9. Support of silicon validation and debugging.
10. A can do attitude, getting stuff done is key to this role.
11. An openness and desire to work collaboratively with the wider engineering team is critical.

What we need from you:

1. Demonstrable, significant experience in the design of Analog cores that have been successfully released on silicon.
2. A systematic, hands-on approach to circuit design, previous roles of taking designs from concept to mass production is essential.
3. Using a top-down design approach that uses modelling of functions and verification.
4. Experience in both defining specifications and designing to specification.
5. BS/MSEE in a relevant field or equivalent industry experience.
6. Experience in design of Data Converters, Power Management and Analog Sensor Interfaces.
7. Experience in full development lifecycle from circuit and system specification, modelling, circuit development, simulation, verification including post layout PEX.
8. Innovative problem solving with the ability to be able to think flexibly to find solutions. Being open to new approaches and methodologies.
9. Programming experience: Python, linux, verilogA, verilogAMS, system verilog, C Matlab.
10. Ability to collaborate within a team and be able to work to customer program milestones and effectively communicate status and challenges.
11. Provide coaching and development for junior analog designers.

1. Macro-level experience: integration, verification and tape-out.
2. Team-lead experience.
3. Packaging knowledge (CSP, BGA, etc.).
4. CMOS process & design flow (CAD/PDK) knowledge.
5. Knowledge of Cadence design tools and environment and also Mentor Calibre verification suite.
