Position: Senior Staff Nurse - Acute Medical Ward

Location: London, The Wellington Hospital

Hours: Full Time (37.5hrs) per week

Contract: Permanent

Due to recent expansion, we are seeking highly motivated Senior Staff Nurses to join our acute nursing team on our newly opened 14-bed dedicated Acute Medical Ward at The Wellington Hospital-the UK's largest private hospital, rated "Good" by the CQC. This ward supports our on-site Acute Admissions Unit, providing exceptional care to medical patients in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

As a Senior Staff Nurse in our Acute Medical Ward, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care within a multidisciplinary team. Your responsibilities will include planning, delivering, and evaluating care while supervising and guiding junior nurses and temporary staff. You will be expected to demonstrate exemplary clinical practice at all times, ensuring patient safety and well-being. Additionally, you will contribute to the development of clinical standards, policies, procedures, and research-based care initiatives.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop expertise in complex wound management and tissue viability, work alongside some of London's top consultant physicians, and gain valuable experience in complex discharge planning.

You will also play a key role in geriatric care, delivering patient-centred, holistic care that focuses on the unique needs of older adults.

As our ward specialises in caring for geriatric patients, our nurses build strong relationships with their patients, offering both medical and emotional support while helping them and their families transition back to their home environments.

What you'll bring:

  • NMC Registered Nurse
  • Experience as a Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse - desirable
  • Extensive experience essential within an acute medical setting
